ND shutter-drag drill	Experiment after safe frames; never during the first crane takeoff or goose blast-off.
Protective filter and flare check	Know when glass protection helps and when extra reflections hurt.
Step-up rings with gloves	Practice mounting and removing rings without dropping them in cold conditions.
Backup workflow	Verify cards, portable drive, notebook, batteries, and packed bag before sleep.
