AI is part of how I build this website, develop my writing, and create its illustrations.
The website
This entire website has been coded with OpenAI Codex from the very first version. I direct what we build and how it should work, with Codex helping turn those decisions into working software.
The writing
Every article and note is written with AI assistance. I start with a draft, an overall story arc, or a voice recording where I talk through my thoughts and key points.
From there, I work with AI under a specific editorial guideline to develop the piece. That guideline requires preserving my voice, meaning, and the facts and quotations I provide. It also calls for fact-checking, correcting grammar, and improving clarity and style. Unsupported claims and proposed changes to meaning must be flagged rather than silently introduced.
I remain responsible for what I publish.
The illustrations
The editorial illustrations are generated with AI using a shared design skill called Crispy Illustrator. It defines the visual language across articles and notes, including the ink-and-watercolor style, palette, composition, and consistency checks.
