Just One More Thing
By Cristiano Pierry
Parallel agents keep work moving so continuously that even upgrading Codex now requires scheduling a maintenance window.

It is a strange problem to have.
OpenAI ships updates to ChatGPT and Codex at an incredible pace. Normally, I’d update immediately.
Except… I almost never have a good time to do it.
There is usually an agent running somewhere. While one is working, I’m reviewing another. While I’m waiting, I launch two more. By the time they finish, I’ve already started the next batch.
My laptop has started to feel less like a computer and more like a construction site. There is always at least one crew still on the job.
The irony is that the better these tools get at parallel work, the harder it becomes to find a maintenance window to upgrade them.
A year ago, I was waiting for software.
Today, the software is waiting for me to call a lunch break.
