From PRD To Prototype

By Cristiano Pierry

In the spirit of encouraging more product managers to go from PRD to prototype, I decided to do it myself.

In the spirit of encouraging more product managers to go from "PRD to prototype", I decided I don't know college basketball well enough to pick winners, so I wrote a Python program with OpenAI Codex that pulls from prediction markets, ESPN spreads, and Vegas lines to generate my bracket for me.

Then I used Claude Code to read the model output and submit my picks directly on the NCAA bracket site, logged into my account. I automated both the thinking and the clicking on my NCAA bracket this year.

I automated both the thinking and the clicking on my NCAA bracket this year.

I also spent approximately zero time on the UI, which feels very on-brand for a prototype.

What have you built lately that would've taken 10x longer a year ago?
