The Tables Are Turning

By Cristiano Pierry

AI agents can own the emails, forms, and follow-up that let consumers push back against unwanted spam and abuse.

I asked Bob, my AI agent in dots, to get my email addresses and phone number removed from data brokers. I can give him that goal and trust him to work through the follow-up.

LeadIQ and Kaspr replied with links to their forms, so Bob moved the work into the browser. Apollo replied that it had completed the deletion request and added me to its suppression files to prevent my information from being added back.

I expect Bob to handle the CAPTCHAs, fill out the forms, send the emails, and follow up. If a form is broken, I want him to report the bug and find another way to reach the company. A “please use our form” reply shouldn’t become another chore for me. It’s part of the work I’ve handed him.

Spammers have software working to reach us over and over. Now we can have agents working on our behalf, pushing back against unwanted spam and abuse. I don’t have to personally manage every exchange for that effort to continue.
