ChatGPT briefly made Chrome look frugal, while a rough week showed how hard it is to keep quality steady at this pace.

That’s what my Mac reported for the ChatGPT app before announcing it had run out of application memory. Chrome, at 4.86 GB, suddenly looked like the responsible adult.

Since Dev Days, I’ve had slow responses and spotty availability. It’s been a rough week.

I feel for the people keeping ChatGPT running while shipping new capabilities at this pace. There’s plenty to be excited about, and a lot of everyday quality to keep up with.

I hope they get a breather. My Mac has already insisted on one.
