Lightbulb Moment

Lightbulb moment. I was working on a demo and needed to record it for a presentation. The app had its own layout, but the presentation needed a clean 16:9 recording.

My first instinct was to do the usual dance: open QuickTime, create the right recording window, resize the app, adjust the framing, test it, do it again.

Then it hit me: I’m using a frontier coding tool. Why am I doing this manually? I told Codex what I wanted and asked it to record the demo for me. And it did. Clean 16:9 output. No window gymnastics. No manual fiddling.

I’m realizing that a big part of getting good with these tools is learning to notice the work you should no longer be doing yourself.

Automate the boring parts so you can spend more time on the work that actually needs you: strategy, vision, clarity, taste, and judgment.
